A Shakespeare Garland

Capital Choir is preparing for our usual mid-year concert on 22 June at Central Baptist Church. The theme this year will be New Zealand music and the featured work will be A Shakespeare Garland, composed by David Hamilton for the Auckland Choral Society in 1999.

  1. Greetings,
Sorry to post this here, but I could find no email contact otherwise. I have written an original Christmas carol for SATB. I would like to present it as a possible addition to your choir’s repertoire. It is secular, lively, approximately three minutes long. I would be happy to send you a MIDI version MP3 and the first few pages of the score, if you like. I am both composer and lyricist.
Best wishes in all your endeavors! I look forward to hearing from you.

    Sincerely, Cynthia Hilts

  2. No need to apologise. I’m afraid the moderator (that’s me) has been a bit lax about approving comments.

There’s no email contact address? Good heavens, that’s a bit of an omission, isn’t it? In this day and age. There is a choir email address: capitalchoir@gmail.com. The only problem is that the person who monitors it (that’s me) is rather lax.

Thank you for your offer of the carol. I’ll discuss it with the committee.
